Cieba Pentandra(Silk Cotton tree) This tree was planted on 25th May 1924 by Sir Gordon Guggisberg, governor of the Goldcoast. One of the largest trees in West Africa, up to 160ft, or more 6ft or more in diameter, girth up to 25ft above buttress. It is one of the sacred trees of West Africa
