History has it that the people of Gomoa were part of the Fanti tribe which migrated from Techiman to Mankessim. They continued their journey southwards to Antseadze and finally found a stream and settled by it. They were the first to break the virgin forest and settled there.The Church of Pentecost is well noted for this, at funerals they come with loads of food stuff for the bereaved family and here at Gomoa Techiman, it's no different.
