Get a large bowl for soaking the gari. Make sure you have a lot cold water to soak the gari because cold water makes it taste good. With your gari in the bowl, pour cold water inside the bowl. You will see light substances showing up on the surface of the cold water. Pour those substances out of the bowl except getting rid of the gari. Afterward, make sure you pour some cold water inside the bowl to make sure the gari becomes all liquid. Don't let the gari solidify or else you aren't going to like your food. Gari is a similar to a nice cereal but it's eaten as lunch. But one can also go straight to the point without washing to get the impurities out of the gari.
